This Indenture made this 23d day of May in the year of Christ Eighteen hundred & Eight Between Jonathan Reeves who acts for his Brother Maleke Reeves who Intermaried with Leodicea Daughter of Joel Bevill Decd of the County State of Georgia & County of Wilks Archabald Wilson and Mary Bevill both of the State of No Carolina & County of Guilford all of the one part & Wm Bevill of the State of No Carolina & County of Guilford of the other part Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred & Ninety Dollars in hand paid to the affsd Jonathan Reeves Archabald Wilson & Mary Bevill at & before the Signing and Sealing of these presents the receipt & payment whereof they do hereby acknowledge & thereof Exonerate & acquit the afsd Wm Bevill his Heirs Extrs Admrs and assigns they the Afsd Jonathan Reeves Archbald Wilson and Mary Bevill by these presents have Bargained & Sold unto the Said Wm Bevill his Heirs & assigns one hundred & fourteen & one quarter acres of Land being the Land that fell to Malleke Reeves Archabald Wilson and Mary Bevill by the Death of Joel Bevill Decd & Known by the name of Lott No. 123 lying Situate & being in the County of Guilford on the waters of the Reedy fork of Haw River Beginning at a Post Oak Saplin Being a Corner to Lott No. 4 belonging to Neal (sic ?) Perkinson on Robert Coles line thence Runing South with Perkinsons line Two hundred and Twelve Poles to a Black Oak on John Thompsons line thence running East with Sd Thompson line Eighty eight & an half Poles to a Spanish Oak Archabald Whites Corner in Sd. Thompsons line thence running with Whites line & a line of Robert Coles North Crossing one Branch Two hundred and Twelve Poles to a Sassafrack (sic) and hickory grub (?) Robert Coles Supposed Corner thence running West Eighty eight and an half poles to the first Station Including the aforesaid three Lotts in one & Contains one hundred & fourteen & ź acres of Land be the Same More or Less with all Improvements rents Issues & profits with all buildings &c to have & to hold unto the afsd Wm Bevill his Heirs & assigns for ever against them the afsd Jonathan Reeves Archabald Wilson & Mary Bevill & their Heirs & assigns & they the afsd. Jonathan Reeves Archabald Wilson & Mary Bevill their Heirs & doth by these Presents further Covenant & agree to & with the afsd Wm Bevill his Heirs & that they will for themselves their heirs & every of them Warrant & for ever defend the afsd Land & premises to the Sd. Wm Bevill his Heirs & against them and their Heirs & all & every other Person Claiming by from or under them or any of them or any other person Setting forth or holding any Right or Claim to the Same Witness Whareof (sic) they have hereunto Set their hands & Seals affixed their Seals the day & year first Above Written.Jonathan Reeves (Seal)
