Transcript

This Indenture made this seventeenth day of December Eighteen hundred and eight Between Noah Hunt of the County of Montgomery and State of Tennessee of the one part and Peter Reives of the County of Davidson and State aforesaid witnesseth that the sd Noah Hunt for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Peter Reives at and before the signing and delivering of these presents hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and enfeoff and confirm unto the sd Peter Reives his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and twenty two acres more or less lying and being in the County of Williamson and State of Tennessee on the waters of West fork of Mill Creek bounded as follows Beginning at a sugar tree and elm, thence south one hundred and twenty two poles to a beach being William Brown's corner thence west sd Brown's line one hundred and six poles to a stake in Gum Mills line, thence north with sd line one hundred & twenty two poles to Gersham Hunt's corner, a beach thence east to the Beginning with all and singular the woods waters water courses profits commodities hereditaments and appertainances whatsoever to the sd tract of land belonging or appurtaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders rents and fees thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of him the sd Noah Hunt his heirs and assigns forever of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof either in law or Equity To have and to hold the sds one hundred and twenty two acres of land more or less with the appertainances to the sd Peter Reives heirs & assigns forever against the lawful title claim and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the sd Noah Hunt hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.

On the back of the foregoing deed of conveyance was written
State of Tennessee Williamson County Set the foregoing deed of conveyance was duly proven in open court October Session 1809 by the oaths of James Owen and Gersham Hunt the subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of Noah Hunt and the same was ordered to be registered. Let it be done.
