Transcript

This Indenture made this Twenty second day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine Between Joshua Reynolds of Baltimore County of the one part and William Reeves of the same County of the other part Whereas Josiah Brown by Indenture bearing date the Eighth day of August eighteen hundred for the consideration therein mentioned did demise and lease unto the said Joshua Reynolds his executors administrators and assigns all that part of a lot or parcel of ground situate lying and being in that part of the City of Baltimore called Fells Point and distinguished on a platt thereof by the number one hundred and sixty two Beginning for the same at the north east corner or intersection of Feet Street and Starr Alley and running thence north on Starr Alley sixty feet thence east parallel with Fleet Street twenty feet thence south parallel with Star Alley to Fleet Street and thence west on Fleet Street to the Beginning with the appurtenances thereunto belonging subject to the payment of the yearly rent of fifteen dollars current money as by the said Indenture recorded among the land records of Baltimore County Court Liber W G No 65 folio 175 relation being hereunto had more fully appears Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Joshua Reynolds for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars money of the United States to him in hand paid by the said William Reeves at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and set over and by these presents doth grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over unto the said William Reeves his executors administrators and assigns all and singular the said described part of a lot of ground and premises. Together with the buildings privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging and all the estate right title interest term of years to come property claim and demand either at law or in equity of the said Joshua Reynolds therein or thereto To Have and to Hold the same and every part and parcel thereof unto the said William Reeves his executors administrators and assign for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the term of years therein yet to come and unexpired by virtue of the original lease thereof with the benefit of renewment forever in as full large ample and beneficial manner to all intents and purposes whatsoever as the said Joshua Reynolds might or could have held and enjoyed the same by any ways or means whatsoever subject nevertheless to the payment of the yearly rent or sum of fifteen dollars and performance of the covenants in the said recited Indenture contained and the said Joshua Reynolds for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said William Reeves his executors adminsitrators and assigns that he the said Joshua Reynolds hath not at any time heretofore made done suffered or committed any act matter or thing whatsoever whereby the said piece of ground and premises is shall or may be charged impeached or other wise incumbered and that he the said William Reeves his executors administators and assigns on Payment of the yearly rent aforesaid shall and may at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the said part of alot of ground and premises with the appurtenances without the let suit trouble or interruption of the said Joshua Reynolds or any other person or persons Claiming any thing therein by from or under him In witness whereof the said parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year forst above written.

Witness Owen Dorsey } Baltimore County } On this twenty second day of April 1809 before us the subscribers two Justices of the peace for said County personally appeared Joshua Reynolds and William Reeves party's to the within deed and severally acknowledged the same to be their respective act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof.
