In the Name of God Amen
I William Reeve of Blackmore in the County of Essex yeoman being of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks be to God for the same do make and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)
First I desire to be buried in a decent and frugal? manner at the discretion of my executor hereinafter named as near to the Grave of my late father as may be and I give devise and bequeath unto my Brother James Reeve of Kelveton Hatch in the said County of Essex farmer and to my Brother in law John Going of Leigh? in the said County farmer and my friend John Barrett of Blackmomre aforesaid yeoman whom I have hereinafter named executors of this my will all that my closepaire? or p? of freehold land or ground situate in the parish of Blackmore aforesaid with the appurtenances now in my own occupation which I lately purchased of William Evans Esquire and all other my freehold messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever whereof or whereunto I am seized or entitled in possession reversion remainder or expertany? to and all the same premises unto the said James Reeve John Going and John Barrett their heirs and assigns upon trust that they or the survivors or survivor of them or the heirs or assigns of such survivors shall and do as soon as conveniently may be after my decease by public oration sell and dispose of the said premises for the best price or prices that can or may be had or gotten for the same and also I do hereby direct authorize and empower the said James Reeve John Going and John Barrett and the survivors and survivor of them and the executors and admins of such survivors as soon as conveniently may be after my decease by public auction to sell and dispose of all and every my customary or copyhold messuages lands and tenements wherever situate and whatsoever manor or manors they may be ? with their and every of their appurtenances to ? I have duly surrendered to the use of my will for the best price or prices that can or may be had or gotten for the same and I will and direct that the monies to be raised by sale of the said freehold and copyhold premises and the rents and profits thereof until such said after all reasonable charges thereout deducted shall be deemed and taken as part of my personal estate and go and be paid as the same is hereinafter by me directed to be applied and disposed of and my ? and will is that the receipt or receipts of the said James Reeve John Going and John Barrett or the survivors or survivor of them or the heirs executors or admons of said survivor shall from time to time be good and sufficient discharged to the purchasor or purchasors of all or any part of my said freehold and copyhold estates for so much of such purchse monies for which such receipt or receipts to shall be given and that after such receipt or receipts for any such purchase money such purchaser or purchasors shall be absolutely acquitted and discharged of and from the same and shall not be answerable for or charged with any nonappuration or unsapplication thereof and I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Becca the sum of fifty pounds if lawful money current in Great Britain to be paid to her as and when my youngest child whether borne in my life time to ? ? time after my decease shall attain his or her age of twenty one years also I give and bequeath to the said Becca my wife so much and such part of my household goods and furniture plate linen and china as she shall make choice of for her own use and at her absolute disposal and I will and direct that my said executors or the survivors and survivor of them and their executors and administrators of such survivor shall and do as soon as conveniently may be after my decease sell and convert into money all such part of my personal estate and effects not hereinbefore bequeathed as shall not consist of monies and as to all the monies arising by sale of my said real and personal estate and also all the rest and residue of my monies permties? for the ? and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever after my debts legacies funeral charges and the executors of proving this my will paid I give and bequeath that same and every part thereof unto the said James Reeve John Going and John Barrett upon trust that they the said James Reeve John Going and John Barrett or the survivors or survivors of them or the executors or admons of such survivor shall and do lay out and invest a sufficient part thereof in the purchase of one thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuities and shall and do stand possessed thereof and of the interest and ? thereof upon the ? and for the several purposes following (that is to say) upon trust to pay to or otherwise permit and suffer the said Becca my wife to receive the said dividends and produce thereof for and towards the ? of herself and all my children ? until the youngest of my children shall attain his or her age of twenty one years and where and so soon as the youngest of my said children shall have attained his or her age of twenty one years then upon trust to permit and suffer the said Becca my wife and her assigns to receive ? the divisions and amount ? of the said sum of one thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuities for ? the term of her natural life for her own absolute use and from and after the decease of the said Becca my wife them upon trust to pay and transfer the said sum of one thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuities unto and equally amongst all and every my sons that shall be living at the time of the decease of the said Becca my wife if more than one and if there shall be but one such son living at the time of her decease of the said Becca my wife upon trust to pay and transfer one anuity or half part of the said sum of one thousand pounds three per cent consildated Bank annuities to such only son and the other moiety or half part thereof unto and amongst all and every my daughter and daughters that shall be living at the time of the decease of my said wife equally to be divided amongst them part and share alike and in case there shall be no son living at the time of the decease of the said Becca my wife then upon trust to pay or transfer the whole of the said sum of one thousand pounds three per cent consolidated Bank annuities unto and amongst all and every my daughter and daughters that shall be living at the time of the decease of the said Becca my wife eqaully to be divided between them part and share alike and upon trust that they the said James Reeve John Going and John Barrett and the survivors and survivors of them and the executors and admons of such survivor shall and do lend and place out all remainder of the said trust monies at interest either in the publick stocks or funds of Great Britain as they shall think fit and or on any parliam securities or on any mortgages or land securities from time to time to alter and change such security or securities as they shall think proper and that they shall pay to or otherwise permit and suffer the said Becca my wife to receive and take the interest dividends and annual produce thereof for the maintenance of herself and all my said children until the eldest of my said children shall have attained the age of twenty one years and that when and so soo as the eldest of my said children shall have attained his or her age of twenty one years upon trust that they my said trustees shall and sp ay and divide the same ? and equally amongst all my children the several ? of my said children to be pai to them respectively as and when they shall severally attain their respective ages of twenty one years and upon trust that they shall and so continue or place out at interest the shares or portions of such of my said children as shall not have attained the age of twenty one years and pay? apply and dispose of or permit and suffer the said Becca my wife to have and receive ? interest dividends and proceeds thereof and of every part thereof for and towards the maintenance of herself and my said children and for their education until they shall severally attain their several and respective ages of twenty one years and in case any of my said children shall die under the age of twenty one years without leaving issue then I give the part or share of him her or their so dying of and the sid ? nd premises to the survivors of them in equal shares and proportions and my mind and will is that the bequests herein by me made to and for the benefit of my said wife shall be by her accepted and take in lieu and ? of all dower and thirds which she might by common law custom or otherwise have be claim of in or out of all or any my freehold or copyhold lands and entitlements which? I now own or may at any time hereafter be seized or possessed and I do constitute and appoint my said Brother James Reeve and my said Brother in Law John Going and the said John Barrett executors of this my last will and testament and I give to each of my said executors the sum of ten pounds for their care and trouble in and about the execution of this my will and my will and mind is that my said executors or either of them or their either of their executors or administrators shall not be chargeable with or accountable for any more of the said trust ? and premises than they respectively shall actually receive or shall come to their respective hands by virtue of this my will nor with or for any loss which shall happen of the same without their wilfull default nor any one of them for the others or ? of them but each of them only for his and their own respective acts deeds ? and ? and also that it shall and may be lawful to and for my said executors and each of them their and each of their executors and admons and every of them in the first place by and out of the said trust monies and premises to deduct and reimburse themselves respectively all such cost costs charges and expenses as they or any of them respectively shall sustain expence or be put ? for or by reason of the said trust hereby in them reposed of and ? the said premises or the management and execution thereof or otherwise in relation thereto.
In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament contained in five sheets of paper set my hand to the four first sheets thereof and to this last sheet my hand and seal the twenty first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine

This will was proved at London the twenty third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine before the worshipful John Danberry Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir John Orchell? Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of James Reeve the Brother of the deceased John Going and John Barrett the executors named in the said will to whom administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased was granted they having been first sworn duly to administer.
