A deed from William Reves to Allen Burton, 150 acresThis Indenture made this 29th day of September Anno domini one Thousand Eight hundred and nine Between William Reves and Allen Burton Both of the County of Ashe and State of N. Carolina Witnesseth, that he the said William for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he the said William doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully Satisfied and paid and by these presents hath granted, bargained, Sold, conveyed and by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely grant bargain, Sell, convey and confirm unto the Said Allen his heirs & assigns forever a certain parcel of land containing one hundred and fifty acres lying and being in the County aforesaid be the same more or less on the waters of Bledsows (sic) Creek of Little River Beginning at a white oak in Moxleys line and --- N. one hundred and twenty Poles to a Locust, then W, twenty Poles to a Stake, then N. Eighty Poles to a Stake, then East thirty Poles to a stake, then S. Eighty Poles to a Stake, then E. one hundred and twenty Poles to a Chestnut oak, then S twenty two Poles to a Spanish oak, then W. fourteen Poles to a Red oak, then S. fifty nine Poles to a Red oak, then W. forty Poles to a Locust, then S. Thirty two poles to a Chestnut Maxwell corner then to the first Station, Together with every right, like, privilege, and emolument to the Said land belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the Said William doth hereby bind himself his heirs, executors and Administrators and every of them well and truly to warrant and ever defend the aforesaid primises (sic) with all its appertainancies (sic) to him the Said Allen his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all incumberancies (sic) and claims, whatsoever, in witness whereof he the Said William hath hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal this date above written.
