William Reves deed to John Long 300 acres
This Indenture made this (blank) day of June Anndomini one thousand eight hundred and ten between William Reves and John Long, both of the County of Ashe & State of North Carolina witnesseth, that he the said William Reves for & in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to him in hand paid by the sd. John Long, the receipt whereof the said William Reves doth hereby acknowledge himself therewith fully Satisfied and paid, hath granted, bargain, Sold, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth fully, clearly, and absolutely convey unto the sd. John Long his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land containing three hundred acres lying and being in the County Ashe Beginning at a Spanish oak near Cheshiers (sic) line, running east one hundred & Sixty poles to a Hickory, then South Seventy poles to a Chestnut, then east one hundred and forty poles to a Chestnut, then South Seventy poles to a Birch, then west twenty poles to a Stake, Burtons corner, then South forty five west along said Burtons line one hundred and thirty eight poles to a stake, then west one hundred and ninety five poles to a Stake, then to the first Station, Together with every right, title, priviledge and emoluments to the sd. Land belonging or in anywise appertaining, and he the sd. William Reves doth bind himself his heirs well and truly to warrant and every defend the same aforesd premises with all its appurtenances free and clear from all incumberances (sic) and claims whatso. In witness whereof he the William Reves doth hereunto set his hand and seal their (sic) this day and date above written, Signed, sealed & delivered in the presents of us.
