Transcript

This Indenture made this the twentyeth day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and eleven Between Peter Reives of the County of Williamson and State of Tennessee of the one part and William Stone of the County and State aforesaid of the other part whitnesseth that the sd Peter Reives hath for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred and fifteen Dollars to him in hand paid at or before the insealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and he the said Reives therewith fully satisfied and contented and hath bargained sold alien and confirmed unto the said William Stone a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid and on a west branch of Mill Creek and bounded as follows Beginning at a sugar tree and elm, thence south one hundred and twenty two poles to a beech William Browns corner thence West one hundred and six poles with sd Browns line to a stake in Gum Mills line, thence north with sd line one hundred and twenty two poles to Gersham Hunts corner a beech, thence East to the Beginning containing by estimation one hundred and twenty two acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above mentioned land and premises with all ways woods waters minerals and every thing belonging or appertaining thereunto, unto the sd William Stone and his heirs forever and the said Peter Reives doth warrant and forever defend the right and title to the above mentioned land unto the sd William Stone against the lawfull claim and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.

On the back of which deed was written
State of Tennessee Williamson County set; the foregoing deed of conveyance was duly proven in open Court January session 1812 by the oaths of James Davis and John Hill the subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the act and deed of Peter Reives, and the same was ordered to be registered. Let it be done.
