Transcript
In the name of God amen I Elizabeth Reeve of the Parish of Cutchogue in the township of Southold County of Suffolk and State of New York Widow calling to mind the uncertainty of life and knowing that I must die do now while in the possession of usual health of body and mind (in order to prevent suprise) make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say after my just debts funeral charges and all necessary expences are paid and satisfied as hereinafter mentioned, I give to my two negroes Limus and Jenny liberty and freedom hereby declaring them from and after my decease Liberated manumitted and set freeItem I give and devise unto my said negro man Limus and negro woman Jenny one acre of land lying at a place called shell Bank in the parish aforesaid with the priviledges and appurtenances thereto belonging to hold to them the said Limus and Jenny as tenants in common of equal parts and to their heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto the said Limus and Jenny one hundred acres forty Dollars contained in and secured by a certain note from Josiah Albertson to me which monies when obtained is to be divided equally between them. I also give them one cow the Red beding household furniture and whatever else is commonly denominated theirs or as belonging to either of them also six chairs my newest looking glass one fire shovel a pair of tongs one iron pot tea kettle and my best dining table.
Item I give and bequeath unto my niece Olive Terry one feather bed curtains and quilt of like cloth
Item I give devise and bbequeath unto my nephew Thomas Wickham all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever to hold to him the said Thomas Wickham his heirs and assigns forever he paying my just debts and other necessary charges and expences.
Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint the said Thomas Wickham in conjunction with Neell Osborn Executors of this my last will and Testament and I authorise and empower my said executors at their discretion to pay t??? representatives of David Benjamin deceased so much money as my daughter Elizabeth decd received from his estate any thing to the contrary notwithstanding
I witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Reeve have hereunto set my hand and seal the 25th day of June AD 1812

Suffolk County } Be it remembered that on the twenty second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty personally appeared before Nicoll Floyd Esquire Surrogate of the said County John Wells of the town of Southold in the County aforesaid who being duly sworn on his oath declared that he saw Elizabeth Reeve sign and seal an instrument in writing purporting to be the will of the said Elizabeth Reeve bearing date the twenty fifth day of June one thousand eight hundred and twelve the preceeding whereof is a true copy and heard her publish and declare the same as and for her last will and Testament that at the time thereof she the said Elizabeth Reeve was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the deponent and that his name subscribed as a witness to the said will is of his own proper hand writing and that he saw Samuel Griffing and Neell Osborn subscribe their names as witnesses thereto at the same time with him in presence of the testator.
