This Indenture made and confirmed this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen Between Charles Watts of the State of Kentucky and County of Warren of the one part and Irvine Reeves of the State of Georgia and County of Greene aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that he the said Charles Watts for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; and he himself therewith contented paid and satisfied; hath granted Bargained sold delivered and doth by these presents Bargain sell sell over and confirm to him the said Irvine Reves his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Greene aforesaid on the waters of Richland Creek being part of a tract of two hundred righty seven and a half acres originally granted to William Cane by warrant dated the 17th day of May 1784 and executed on the 2nd day of June following viz. Beginning a pine (being one corner of the original tract) running thence S42 W53 cks 80 to a dogwood thence S48 E38 chs & 80 cks to a Hickory thence N42 E53 chs 80 cks to a hickory thence N48 W 38 chs 80 cks to a pine the begining containing two hundred seven and a half acres be the same more or less Together with all and singular the Rights priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to him the said Irvine Reves his heirs and assigns forever as an estate in fee simple.
And he the said Charles Watts doth farther covenant and agree with him the said Irvine Reves that he will warrant and forever defend by these presents the above described tract of land and premises to him the said Irvine Reves his heirs & assigns free from the claim of him the said Charles Watts as any person claiming by through or under him and also from the lawful claim or (?) of all & every other person or persons whatsoever.

In witness whereof he the said Charles Watts hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written
