Be it known to all to whom these presents shall come that I Elijah Reeves of the County of Fleming and State of Kentucky for divers Good Causes and Considerations moving do constitute and appoint & do by these presents Constitute appoint and ordain My trusty friend James Tinsley of the County and State aforesaid my true and lawfull attorney for me and in my name for the special purpose of obtaining a deed for a tract of land situate on the south side of Fox of one hundred acres by survey sold by Elijah Reeves Senr to Nathan Reeves and sold by Nathan Reeves to Elijah Reeves junr sold by Elijah Reeves to James Tinsley and discharge for the same in my name in a full and complete manner as I myself could ought to do were I personally present at the same time satisfying and allowing whatsoever my said attorney may lawfully do concerning the premises in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th of February 1814

Be it understood that on 28 of February 1814 James Tinsley purchased of the sd Elijah Reeves Junr the aforesaid parcel or tract of land above mentioned and in case the land is taken by prior claim there is no recourse to be had on the said Elijah Reeves his heirs executors administrators or assigns

I Joshua Stockton Clerk of the County Court of said County do certify that this letter of Attorney from Elijah Reeve to James Tinsley together with the instrument of writing annexed thereto by the said James was produced before my severally proved by the oath of William Filson on the 20th day of July 1814 and on this day was fully proved by the oath of Amariah Bonham and is together with this certificate duly recorded in my office: Given under my hand the 1st day of August 1814
