George Reeves his will & Testament June 26th 1816
In the name of God Amen I George Reeves of the County of Wilson being sick and weak of body but of perfect sound and desposing memory thanks be to God for the same do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following (viz) in the first place my will and desire is that all my just debts be paid and satisfied as soon as possible after my decease -
Item) the tract of land I now live on I give to my youngest son Jeremiah Reeves and his heirs containing eighty eight acres
Item) my will and desire is that my daughter Susanah Reeves should have two cows and one bed & furniture and one half of the pewter and earthenware belonging to me the whole of the ballance of my property of every kind I give to my above named son Jeremiah Reeves or his heirs or assigns - In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 26h day of June 1816 Signed and acknowledged in presence of

Commentary

George Reeves' will was presented for probate at March Court of 1817 in Wilson County, Tennessee. That will names his youngest son Jeremiah Reeves and daughter Susannah Reeves.
