Transcript

The Indenture made this twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty Between Jessee Bridges of the County of Maury and State of Tennessee of the one part and Eligia Reaves of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Jessee Bridges for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the Eligia Reaves at and before the sealing and delivering of these persons receipt is hereby acknowledged heath given granted bargained and sold conveyed and confirmed unto the said Eligia Reaves all that certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Maury and State aforesaid on the North Side of Duck Rover butted and bounded as follows. Beginning at a stone pointer one hundred poles from Joel Reaveses North East corner Running East one hundred poles to an Alum(Elm) and pile of rocks thence south one degree East two hundred and nine poles to a stake on the south side of Duck Rover. Beginning at Edmund Harris North East corner thence west with Harris line eighty poles to David Copelands corner thence North with his pine to the beginning containing one hundred and seventeen akers and ninety poles being part of a four thousand acre track of land originally granted to James Holland. Together with all woods waters wymines minerals, heredements and appurtenants to have and to hold the before receipted tract of land Bargained premises with all and singular the remainder remainders revertion and revertions wrights uses and profits to the same belonge as appurtaining to the only proper use of him the said Eligia Reaves his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jessee Bridges for himself and his heirs and Executors and aministrators do covenant and agree with the said Eligia Reaves his heirs and assigns the before recited track of land and bargained premises he the ___ will warrant & forever defend against the right title claim and demand of all and every person of persons whatever unto the said Eligia Reaves his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof they aforesaid Jessee Bridges hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and year above mentioned.

Then the within deed of conveyance was produced in open court the execution thereof duly proven by the oaths of N. G. Murphy & Nathaniel Murphy subscribing witnesses and ordered to be certified for registration. In testimony whereof I Joseph B. Porter clerk of said Court have hereunto subscribed my name at office this 29th day of January 1821
