I Miles Reaves of the County of Christian & State of Kentucky do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament In the manner and form following Viz, I lend to my beloved wife Ann Reaves my tract of land on which I now live & a Negro girl named Letisia (?) and also all my Goods & Chattels during her natural life And I wish my beloved wife to raise my three youngest children Robert, Milberry and William and give them tolerable education and at the death of my wife I wish my property all to be Sold and equally divided amongst my lawful children Namely Joseph Reaves, Sally Griffy, John Reaves, Elizabeth Thweatt, Miles Reaves, Ruth Reaves, Robert Reaves, Milberry Reaves & William Reaves to be theirs & their Heirs forever But Should either of my above named Children Die before the death of my beloved Wife, leaving Children It is my wish that their children Should Hier their lawfull part forever, But Should my beloved wife die before my three youngest children have their education I wish enough allowed them over and above their equal part to educate them. I do hereby nominate and Appoint my Son in law George Griffy and Edward A. Lucy (?) my neighbour (sic) Executors of this my last Will and testament. Hereby revoking and making void all other Will or Wills by me heretofore made In Witness Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand this Twenty eighty day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty one

Christian County Court 6th August 1821
The foregoing Last Will and Testament of Miles Reaves decd was this day produced in Court and proven by the Several Oaths of John Miller and Ethel (?) Thweatt. Subscribing witnesses thereto to be the Act & deed hand & Seal of the Said Miles for the purposes therein. Whereupon the Same was ordered to Record Which together with this Certificate is truly recorded in the Clerk Office of Said Court.
