Transcript

This Indenture made this thirteenth Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one Between Mary & David Mitchell (?) of the estate of Andr Mitchell of the one part and James Reves of the other part both of the county maury and state of Tennessee Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged we the said Mary & David R Mitchall executors of the estate of Andw Mitchell does dcd Hath given granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed unto the said James Reeves his heirs and assigns forever three pieces or parcels of land situate in said county north side of duck river and on the waters of the west fork of snow creek and bounded as follows to viz twenty acres of land beginning at an ash the southeast corner of a forty tract which this is part off in the name of Andrew Mitchell dcd running west thirty six and a half poles to a horn beam thence north eighty eight poles to a sugartree And beach thence east thirty six and a half poles thence south eighty eight poles to the beginning containing twenty acres more or less also forty acres Beginning at a beach the north east corner of the above mentioned tract thence east seventy three and a half poles to a beach and Lynn in the west boundary line of a seventy five acre entry in the name of Andrew Mitchell dcd thence south thirty six poles to a beach with the same to the south west corner thereof thence east three poles to a stake thence south forty nine and a fourth poles to a dogwood and sugartree thence west seventy six and a half poles to a beach thence north one hundred and thirty four poles to the beginning also of sixty? acres beginning thirty poles east of the north west corner of a forty acre tract in the name of Andew Mitchell dcd running thence north seventy six and a fourth poles to a beach thence East seventy six and a fourth poles to a poplar bounded on Andrew Bakers west line thence south eighteen poles to said Bakers south west corner at a beach thence east with said Bakers east thirty eight poles to a lynn it being the north northwest corner of a seventy acre survey in the name of Andrew Mitchell thence south with said line fifty eight Poles to a beach and lynn thence west one hundred and fourteen poles to the beginning containing 110 acres together with all the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said James Reeves his heirs & assigns forever and the said Mary and D R Mitchell exc of Andrew Mitchell dcd (?) (?) warrant and forever defend the said land and premises against the claims of any other persons or persons whatsoever unto the said Jas Reeves his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set our hand and seal the day and date above written in the presence of Will Flyd Jura

On the back of the above deed was written
State of Tennessee Maury county court April term 1825 then within deed of conveyance was produced in open court and the execution thereof duly proven by the oath of Will Flye and Archibland Homes two subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be certified for registration
