          I, David Irvine, Clerk of the Court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that this Power of Attorney was produced to me in my office on the 22nd day of October 1822 with the certifications thereon endorsed and by the virtue of said certifications the same was duly recorded in my office. Know all men by these presents that I, John Reves of the County of Wake and the State of North Carolina for diverse good causes and considerations have nominated and appointed and do by force of these presents nominate and appoint, Jesse B. Geer of the County and State aforesaid my true and lawful attorney in fact for me and to my use to ask for receive demand or sue for all the Interest that I have in my Deceased Fathers William Reeves Estate and to grant and discharges in my name as fully and completely as though I was personally present and I the said John Reves bind myself, my heirs etc to ratify and confirm whatsoever my said attorney may do in company into full and complete effect the true intent and meaning of this power - In Testimony of all which I have hereunto set my hand and Seale the 17th day of August 1822.
