Transcription

This Indenture made and entered into this 29th day of July 1823 between George W. Reeves of the county of Mason and state of Kentucky of the first part and Austin S. Reeves of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars current money of the United States to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing or delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and aliened and by these presents hath granted bargained sold and aliened and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Austin S. Reeves the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all his right title and interest to and in a certain tract of land containing one hundred and fifty acres of which Samuel Reeves died possessed situate lying and being in the county of Mason and state aforesaid, adjoining the land on which the said Austin S Reeves now resides being the one undivided part of said tract of land which was this day conveyed to the said party of the first part by James Rousseau Thomas Rousseau William Rousseau and Margret Rousseau his wife Joseph King and Polly King his wife Parham Buckner and Sarah Buckner his wife, Gatewood Dunn and Elizabeth Dunn, his wife of the state of Georgia by deed bearing even date herewith executed by Austin S Reeves their attorney in fact for the purpose of making said conveyance To have and to Hold unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever the said undivided fifth part of said one hundred and fifty acres of land so as aforesaid conveyed to the said George W. Reeves by the said James Rousseau Thomas Rousseau William Rousseau and Margaret his wife Joseph kind and Polly his wife Parham Buckner and Sarah his wife and Gatewood Dunn and Elizabeth his wife of the state of Georgia And the said George W. Reeves for and in behalf of himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and agree with the said Austin S. Reeves the said party of the second part his heirs &c that he will warrant and forever defend the title to the premises hereby conveyed with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging from all and every claim or claims whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said party of the first part hath hereunto set his name and affixed his seal the day and year above written.

I Marshall Key clerk of the county court of said county certify that this deed of conveyance from George Reeves to Austin S Reeves was this day produced in my office and acknowledged by the said George Reeves to be his act and deed and the same is duly recorded in my said office.
