This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four between Susanah Forsyth formerly Susanah Reeves Henry Baker and his wife Nancy formerly Nancy Reeves Thomas Reeves and William Smith guardian of Washington Reeves only surviving heirs of Joel Reeves decd of the State of Tennessee being heirs and distributes of the estate of Reubin Reeves decd of the one part and Elijah Reeves of the County of Maury and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Susannah Forsyth William Reeves Henry Baker his wife Nancy Thomas Reeves & William Smith guardian of Washington Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to each and every of the distributes aforesaid to them in hand paid by the said Elijah Reeves at or after signing and sealing of the presents the receipt whereof is by each of them hereby acknowledged have bargained hath bargained sold and forever quit claim unto the said Elijah Reeves his executors administrators and assigns forever each of them to one ___ of a certain tract of land containing one hundred and fifty acres lying in the county of Maury oforesaid on the South side of Duck river it being the tract of land that the said Reubin Reeves lived on at the time of his death the said distributees holding claims entitled each of them to one undivided ninth of the aforesaid one hundred acres and forty acres of land as being severally legally heirs of the aforesaid of the aforesaid Reubn Reeves and the said Susannah Forsyth William Reeves Henry Baker his wife Nancy and Thomas Reeves did covenant and agree to and with the said Elijah Reeves that their undevided one ninth of in and to the said one hundred acres and forty acres of land they are each of the several legally entitled and do by these presents bind themselves and each of these executors administrators heirs and assigns forever that all the title interest and claim which they have in to the aforesaid one hundred and forty acres of land they forever quit claim warrant and forever quit claim warrant and defend against themselves their heirs or assigns and all person laying claim thereunto under them or either of them unto the said Elijah Reves his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Smith guardian for the minor heirs of Joel Reaves dcd doth covenant and agree to and with the sd Elijah Reaves that for and consideration of the fifty dollars paid him for the benefit? of his said ward Washington by the said Elijah that when the said Washington arrives at the lawfull age he will cause him to convay by quit claim and undevided ninth of a title which he is entitled as sole surviving heir of Joel Reves decd in and to the aforesaid one hundred and forty acres or to the legal representatives or assigns of the said Elijah Reeves is witness whereof the said Susannah Forsyth William Reeves Henry Baker and his wife Nancy Thomas Reves and William Smith guardian of Washington Reeves hath hereunto severall set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written

On the back of the aboe deed was written

then the within deed of conveyance was produced in open court once the ___ thereof duly proven by the oath of John D Love Thomas Reves and Stephen Smith subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be certified for registration.
