1825 Deed - William Campbell to Bollinger

To all to whom these presents shall come I William Campbell of the State and District aforesaid - Greeting. Know ye that the said William Campbell stands Indebted to Abraham Bollinger of Lincoln County, No. Carolina in the sum of two Hundred and twenty three dollars 45/cents by Note of hand bearing - date with these presents Relation thereunto being have doth more fully and at large appears. Now Know ye that I the said William Campbell for the further securing the payment of the Said sum above mentioned with the said Abraham Bollinger Executors Administrators or Assigns together with lawful Interest for the same have and do by these presents Bargain Sell and Assign all and singular my Right title and Interest and profits that I have now or may have thereafter to per contract with John H. Rooker Entered into the 27th Day of November 1822 Relation had to void Contract doth more fully appear on copy of which is on Record in the District in and to the following land...containing One Hundred and Forth Acres To Have and to Hold all my Interest and profits in and to said land and saw mill thereon and that I now have or may at any time have hereafter, against my self my Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns for ever. Provided Always Never the less that if said William Campbell his Heirs Executors or Administrators or any of them so will and fully pay the said Abraham Bollinger his Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns the sum above mentioned according to the law Interest and meaning of said Note in and that said the above obligation to be null and void. Otherwise to remain in full force and virtue and it is hereby agree upon between the said William Campbell and Abraham Bollinger that the said Campbell shall remain in --- of said lands Tenements and mill above mentioned and receive all and singular the profits arising from the named until default of payment is made of the above mentioned note the above aforesaid notwithstanding. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affirmed our seals this 18th Day of February in the year or our Lord 1825.

          This day personal came Jennings R. Reeves before me the subscribing Justice and being s=Sworn Saith that he - Signed Sealed and Delivered for the - and purposes therein Mentioned and that Paul Selzer signed as a witness along with himself. Sworn this 7th Day of September in the year of our Lord 1826.

A note at the bottom reads: "Left in the office 24th March 1825, Recorded Sept. 11, 1826.

Note: William Campbell was the husband of Elizabeth Hart, daughter of Rebecca Reeves Hart.
