This is the last Will and Testament of me George Frederick Ryves of Shroton otherwise Iwerne Courtney in the County of Dorset Esqr Rear Admiral of the blue whereas under the settlement made on my marriage with my late wife the several capital sums of eight thousand two hundred thirty eight pounds fourteen shillings and ninepence in the three per cent ? Bank aunnuities and four thousand tow hundred and fifty six pounds twelve shillings and nine pence in the three percent consolidated Bank annuities are now standing in the name of the honorable Bartholomew Bowerin? as the survivor in trust account with the right honorable Henry Low Arundell the Revrend? Henry Pleydell Ryves and William Bullock Esqr respectively deceased being the residue of certain sums originall invested in their joint ? upon the several Arnsts? in the said settlement expressed with a power therein contained enabling me as leaving survivor of my said late wife to direct and appoint the said last mentioned Capital sums for the benefit of my children by my said late wife in such parts shares and proportions and payable at such times in such manner and form and with such allowance for maintenance education and advancement in life as I should by deed? or will direct and appoint and whereas under and by virtue of the power given to and vested in me for that purpose by the said settlement I have already directed and appointed in favor of my sons Henry Wyndham Ryves and George Frederick Ryves and of my daughter Catherine Elizabeth now the wife of George Frederick Symes in the honorable East India Company's service ? sums of money amounting in the whole to five thousand and forty seven pounds thirteen shillings and elevenpence three per cent consolidated Bank annuities part of the sums so originally invested in the joint names of the said trustees that is to say in favor of the sayd Henry Wyndham Ryves the sum of two thousand five hundred and seventy five pounds eighty shillings and five pence part thereof in favor of the said George Frederick Ryves the sum of four hundred and seventy two pounds five shillings and six pence other part thereof and in favor of the said Catherine Elizabeth Symes the sum of two thousand pounds the residue thereof now I the said George Frederick Ryves by virtue and in pursuance and in further execution of the poer so given to and vested in us for this purpose by the said settlement and of all other powers enabling us in this whall? so by this my last Will and Testament in writing expressed will direct and appoint that the said several capital sums so advanced to or for the use and benefit of my said son Henry Wyndham Ryves and of my said daughter Catherine Elizabeth Symes shall be in full of his and her share of and in the said trust monies and that their or other of them shall not be entitled to any part of the residue of the said trust finds under and by virtue of the said settlement and I do also by virute and in pursuance and further execution of the said power and of all other power enabling me in this whall? by this my last will and testament in writing give direct and appoint the said several sums so standing in the name of the said Bartholomew Bowerie? or our over which I have a power of disposition by virtue of the said settlement unto my said son the said George Frederick Ryves to and for his own use and benefit as a return for his very dutiful and kind attention to me at all times and I do hereby request authorize and direct the said Bartholomew Bowerie? as the survivor in the said join account to sell out or transfer the same several sums to the said George Frederick Ryves accordingly and I ? to the said George Frederick Ryves such and so many of my Books as were the property of my said late wife or any of her family leaving it to my present wife and the said George Frederick Ryves to select the same and as to all the rest residue and remainder of all my estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kindsoever the same unto my dear wife Emma Ryves her heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature thereof for her and their own use and benefit and I appoint my said wife sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament Guardian of such of my children as may be in their minority at the time of my death in witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand and affixed my seal the thirteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.Geo Fre Ryves (LS)
