In the matter of proving the last will and Testament of Joel Reeve deceased
Suffolk County SS Jeremiah Reeve of the town of Southampton in the said County being duly sworn deposeth and saith that after the decease of the said Joel Reeve, the will of the said deceased bearing date the nineteenth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred & twenty seven was found by this deponent and his sister Clarissa in a chest amongst the other valuable papers of the said deceased, that the said will has remained in this deponents keeping ever since, and that the instrument now offered for probate is the identical will without any alteration thus found and kept by him, that the erasure in the eleventh and twelfth lines from the top was made before the same came into this deponents possession.
