Transcript

This indenture made & entered into this tenth march in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty eight between Willis Reaves of the county of Bedford & State of Tennessee of the one part & Abel Watson of the county of Lawrence & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Willis Reaves for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twelve dollars to him in hand paid by the said Abel Watson the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened conveyed & confirmed unto the said Watson his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on the little wartrace fork of Duck river beginning at a hickory & beach Henry Hoover’s north east corner running east to a forked ironwood supposed to be forty poles in Coffy’s west boundary line thence south one hundred & nine poles to two marked ashes thence east four & a half South thirty poles to an Iron wood Starrels north west corner thence South seventy two poles to a marked ash thence west four & a half north to a stake supposed to be seventy poles Henry Houver’s south east corner thence north one hundred & eighty one poles to the beginning containing fifty two acres & a half be the same more or less to have & to hold the aforesaid land with all singular the rights profits emoluments hereditaments & appurtenances of in & to the same belonging or any wise appertaining to the only proper use of him the said A B Watson his heirs & assigns forever and the said Willis Reaves for his heirs Executors and administrators do covenant & agree to & with the sd A B Watson his heirs or assigns that the before recited land & bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the right title interest claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the sd Willis Reaves hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his Seal this day & year above written.
