25th November, 1828

This indenture made and entered into this 25th day of November 1828. Between George W. Reaves alias George W. Greear and nancy his wife of the first part. Ezra Nuckolls of the second part and Archibald Stewert of the third part. Witnessth that the said George W. Reaves alias George Greear has this day executed his note to the said Archibald Stuert (sic) with Susan Tolliver as his Security for the sum of fifty Dollars due on demand and he is anxious to secure the payment of the said sum to the said Stuert (sic) in consideration whereof and further in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to him in hand paid by the said Ezra Nuckolls the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first part have bargained sold (aliened ?) and conveyed and by these present do bargain and sell alien and convey unto the said Ezra Nuckolls his heirs (?) a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Grayson Containing one hundred and forty acres lying on a branch of fox Creek and bounded as follows to wit, Beginning at a Double Chestnut tree Corner to Shadrack Greer’s line N 36 poles to a large chestnut tree S 18 E 50 poles to white walnut tree among some rocks N 75 E 182 poles to a Spanish oak on a point near a branch, S 83 E 56 poles to a large white oak N 81 E 102 poles to a Stake North 27 poles to two white oaks near Creek N 86 W 22 poles to a large poplar N 82 W 82 poles crossing two branches to the beginning. To have and to hold together with all the appurtenances as thereunto belonging to him the said Ezra Nuckolls in absolute fee simple. In Trust witnesseth that is the said George W. Reaves alias George W. Greear shall not on or before the 25th day of November 1829 pay to the said Archibald (?) Stewert the said sum of fifty Dollars with the accuring interest then the said Ezra Nuckolls shall after advertising the said land at the courthouse of Grayson county at best four weeks before the sale sell the same to the highest bidder for ready money and after paying the expenses of this trust and the said Archibald Stewert the said sum of fifty dollars with the accuring interest shall pay the balance if any to the said George W. Reaves alias George W. Greear but if the said George W. Reaves alis George Greear shall well and truly pay the said sum of fifty dollars with the interest and the expenses of the trust on or before the said 25th day of November 1829 then this indenture to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. In testimony whereof the parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the date above written.

This Deed in Trust from George Greear and wife to Ezra Nuckolls was acknowledged by the said George Greear and admitted to Record Tes M. Dickenson C.C.
