Samuel Reeves and Rachel his wife of the Township of Woodbury in the County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey of the first part and Christian Husfelt of Gloucester Town County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twelve dollars and fifty cents lawful money well and truly paid by the said party of the second part to the said party of the first part at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns one equal undivided half part of all the following described tract or piece of land situate in the township Gloucester Town in the County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey aforesaid and is bounded as follows Beginning at a stone corner to Michael F Fisher in the line of Tomlinsons land thence (1) with Tomlinsons land north eighty six degrees east eleven chains and fifteen links and a half to Brick and Doughteus corner thence (2) with Brick and Doughters land south one degree and thirty minutes east nine chains and forty links thence (3) still with the same south eighty six degrees west eleven chain and fifteen links and a half to a corner in Michael C. Fishers line thence (4) with Fishers line north thirty minutes east nine chains and forty links to the beginning containing ten acres two quarters and ten perches more or less and is the same lot of land that Biddle Reeves became seized of by the last will and Testament of his father Josiah Reeves Decd and the said Biddle dying intestate and without issue the same descended unto his Brothers the said Samuel and Marmaduke Reeves and their sister Elizabeth Winters wife of Mark Winters and the said Marmaduke he also dying intestate and without issue his share thereof fell to the said Samuel Reeves and his said sister Elizabeth Winters in equal moieties one half to each reference being had to said Will the title hereof will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appertenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and also all the estate right title interest property possession claim and demand whatsoever both in law and equity of the said party of the said part of in and to the said premises with the appurtenances to have and to hold the said premises with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part for his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that he hath good right full power lawfull and absolute authority to grant bargain and sell the said premises to the said party of the second part as an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple and that it shall and may be lawful for the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns at all time forever hereafter peaceably and quietly to have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the said premises with all and singular the appurtenances without the lawful let suit trouble denial molestation or interruption of the said party of the first part his heirs or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming the same and that free and clear and freely and clearly acquitted and discharged of and from all mortgages judgments executions and of and from all other incumbrances whatsoever the said party of the first part his heirs executors and administrators the said premises with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the claim and demand of all and all manner of persons whatsoever claiming the same will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said party of the first part hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Be it remembered that on the twenty seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight before me the subscriber one of the masters in the Court of Chancery of said State personally appeared Samuel Reeves and Rachel his wife who did acknowledge that they signed sealed and delivered the within instrument as their voluntary act and deed the contents being first made known to them by me and I being satisfied that they are the grantors thereof and the said Rachel on a private examination a part from her husband the being of lawful age further acknowledged that she signed sealed and delivered the above indenture as her voluntary act and deed freely without any fear threats or compulsion of her husband for the uses and purposes therein expressed.
