State of South Carolina,
Barnwell District.
KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I, John Reeves of the District and State aforesaid, for and in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars, to me paid by John Conner of Tattnall County, in the State of Georgia, have granted, bargained, sold and released, and by these presents do grant, bargain sell and release unto the said John Conner all that tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and fifty acres, granted to the said John Reeves and situate, lying and being in Tattnall county, in the State of Georgia, on Watermelon Creek waters of the Altamaha River and having such shape, form and marks as the original plat will represent, together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments, and appurtenances, to the said premises belonging, or in anywise incident or appertaining, to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said John Conner, his heirs and assigns forever; and I, do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said John Conner, his heirs and assigns, against myself, and my heirs and against every person whomsoever, lawfuly claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
Witness my hand and seal this 31st day of August in the year of our Lord, 1830.

Personally came before me, Joseph C. Bryan, who being duly sworn saith he was present and saw the within named John Reeves sign, seal and deliver the within instrument of writing for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and that Lewis, M. L. Bryan did sign his name as witness with himself thereto. Sworn to before me this 31st day of August, 1830.
