This is the last Will and Testament of me The Reverend Samuel Reeve of Harwich in the County of Essex Clerk made this eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four
First I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Brother in Law Alexander Webber of Ceril Street Westminster wine merchant and William Redwell of ? in the county of Suffolk Gentleman Executors and my dear wife Eliza Cratiana Executrix of this my will whereas under the will of my late uncle Admiral Reeve I am entitled in reversion expertant on the decease of the Reverend Thomas Reeve my father to the ? and entire residue of the personal estate and effects of my said late uncle and whereas the executors to the will of my said late uncle have purchased the advorvoon? and Rectory of Brockdish in the county of Norfolk for my advancement and preferment at the sum of three thousand one hundred pounds and the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds part thereof hath been paid out of the monies now constitutes the residue as aforesaid and I have entered into a bond for the payment of the remainder of the purchase money at the derv? of the Reverend Lawrence Gibbs the present incumbent of the said parish of Brockdish now my will is and I do give and devise unto the said Alexander Webber William Rodwell and Eliza Cratiana my wife all that my adversen? free disposition right of patronage and prosecution of and in the Rectory of the parish church of Brockdish in the County of Norfolk with the ? lands honors hereditaments rights members and appurtenances to the same belonging or appertaining to hold the same unto and to the ? of the said Alexander Webber William Redwell and Eliza Cratiana my wife their heirs and assigns for ever upon trust that they the said Alexander Webber William Redwell and Eliza Cratiana my wife or the survivors or executor of them or their heirs and assigns of such survivors do and shall as soon as conveniently may or can be after my decease sell and absolutely dispose of the same either by public auction or private contract as by them shall be deemed advisable for the best price or prices in money that can be reasonably had or obtained for the same and convey and ? the same when sold unto the purchasor or purchasors thereof his her or their heirs and assigns or as he or they shall direct or appoint and I do will and declare that they receipt or receipts of the said Alexander Webber William Rodwell and Eliza Cratiana my wife or the survivors or survivor of them his or her executors or administrators shall by a good and sufficient discharge or good and sufficient discharges to the purchaser or purchasers of the said hereditaments for his her or their purchase money or for so much thereof as shall be therein acknowledged to be received and that such purchaser or purchasers his her or their executors administrators or assigns or any of them shall not be obliged to see to the application of the said purchase money or any part thereof nor be answerable or accountable for the misapplication or nonapplication thereof or of any part thereof and my will is that out of the monies to arise by such sale as aforesaid the said Alexander Webber William Rodwell and Eliza Cratiana my wife or the survivors or survivor of them shall and do in the first place repay and restore the said sum of one thousand five hundred pounds to the said residuary find from which it was taken as is above mentioned and in the next place shall and do pay off the said bond for the payment of one thousand six hundred pounds and shall and do pay apply and dispose of the surplus in case any shall remain after payment of the said sums of one thousand six hundred pounds and one thousand five hundred pounds in manner hereinafter directed of and conserving the residue of my personal estate also I give and devise unto my said dear wife all that messuage double tenement or cottage with the yards gardens lands hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging situate at Brockdish aforesaid and now in the occupation of Jonas? and Chilver? to hold the same unto and to the use of my said dear wife her heirs and assigns for ever also I give to my son Samuel Reeve a silver mug marked at the bottom with the date of the death of my late Aunt Luira Tozer and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever whether in possession reversion remainder or expertancy after payment of all my just debts whether on mortgage bond note or otherwise my funeral expenses and the charges incident to proving this my will I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said dear wife her heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely and for ever and my will is that my said executors and executrix shall not be answerable or accountable the one for the other of them nor for the acts deeds receipts disbursements or defaults of the other of them but each of them for his or her own acts deeds receipts disbursements or defaults only nor be answerable or accountable for any loss or losses that shall or may happen by depositing any sum or sums of money in the hands or custody of any Banker or Bankers and I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife the guardianship and custody of all my children during their respective minorities and in case of her death during the minority of any or either of them then I give and bequeath such guardianship and custody unto the said Alexander Webber and William Rodwell and hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time hereafter made I declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper put my hand to the first sheet thereof and my hand and seal to this second sheet thereof the day and year first above written

Proved at London 15th November 1830 before the worshipful Thomas Blake Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oaths of Alexander Webber and William Rodwell Esqr two of the executors to whom administration was granted being first sworn duly to Administer power reserved of making the like grant to Eliza Cratiana Reeve widow the relict the other executor when she shall apply for the same.
