Transcript

This Indenture made & entered into this sixth day of December in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred thirty between Benjamin Reaves of the County of Bedford & State of Tennessee of the one part & Michael Fisher Sr. Of the County & State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Reaves for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained sold aliened confirmed & by these presents do give grant bargain & sell unto the sd Michael Fisher & his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the County aforesaid & on the north side of Duck river Beginning at a forked sycamore on the bank of Duck rover opposite two thence down the river with its meanders to Michael Fisher’s spring to a box elder & Spanish oak thence north two hundred & forty one poles to a sugartree & Elm thence east seventy three poles to a walnut & cedar thence south two hundred & fifty one poles to the beginning. Containing by estimation one hundred & ten acres be the same more or less to have & to hold the aforesaid land & bargained premises with all singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use & behoof of him the said Michael Fisher his heirs & assigns forever and the said Benjamin Reeves for himself his heirs & assigns doth and will warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land from himself his heirs & assigns & from every other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming the same.
In witness whereof the said Benjamin Reaves have hereunto set his hand & affixed his hand & seal the day & year first above written
