This Indenture of bargain & sale made & Entered into this 9th day December one thousand Eight Hundred & thirty between Lewis Newsom of the State of Tennessee & County of Bedford of the one part & Benjamin Reeves of the same State and County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Lewis Newsom hath this day bargained & sold unto Benjamin Reeves one certain tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the County of Bedford & on duck River for the valuable consideration of the sum of three Hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt hereof is hereby acknowledged & him the said Benjamin for Ever Exonerates & (?) beginning at a sycamore & (?) on the South Bank of duck River adjoining the land James Newsom Running South one hundred thirty and one fourth poles to a stake Near a dogwood & Sugartree marked as (?) & thence East thirty-two & one fourth poles to a cedar & sugar tree thence North one Hundred & thirty six poles to a sycamore on said duck River thence down the meanders of the same to the beginning containing by Estimation thirty acres & a half to have & to hold to the said Benjamin Reeves & his heirs for Ever & I the said Lewis Newsom do (?) myself my heirs Executors & administrators well will & truly warrant & defend the Right & title of the before named tract of land unto Benjamin Reeves his heirs executors or administrators against the lawful claim or all & every other person In Testimony whereof I the said Lewis Newsom have this day hereunto set my hand & seal it being the 9th day of December 1830.
