Transcript

The last Will and Testament of Nancy Reeve:-
Considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being fully impressed with the divine providence of God and his many blessings towards me, I Nancy Reeve of the town of Goshen, in the County of Orange and State of New York do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, viz.
I give and bequeath to Daniel Reeve Hudson, Nancy Cooper Hudson, Susan Hudson, and William Schyler Hudson, children of my only daughter now living, Sarah M. Hudson wife of Jonathan Hudson of the town of Bloomingrove in the said County, the sum of one thousand dollars, to be equally divided between them, to wit - the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to be paid to the said Daniel Reeve Hudson, when he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, together with interest from the time of my decease, for the use of him, his heirs and assigns forever. The like sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to be paid to the said Nancy Cooper Hudson, when she shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, together with interest from the time of my decease, for the use of her her heirs & assigns forever. Also the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid to the said Susan Hudson, when she shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, together with interest, from the time of my decease, for the use of her her heirs and assigns forever. The like sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to be paid to the said William Schyler Hudson, when he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, together with interest from the time of my decease, to him his heirs and assigns forever. The above legacies to be paid as above specified, provided the said Sarah M. Hudson have no more children. But if she have one or more children after date hereof then the said sum of one thousand dollars, to be divided between the four children ehrein named and then which may be born of the said Sarah M. Hudson, after the date of this my will, by paying to each and every one of them, an equal sum of the legacy of one thousand dollars, when they shall respectively arrive at the age of twenty one years, together with the interest from the time of my decease, to them their heirs & assigns forever. My will and intention is; that all the children now born & to be born of my daughter Sarah M. Hudson, have an equal part of the said legacy of one thousand dollars. I do hereby appoint my son-in-law Jonathan Hudson, executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other & former wills by me, at any time, heretofore made.

Whereupon I the Surrogate aforesaid upon the proof aforesaid being satisfied of the genuineness & validity of the said Will do therefore order that the same be admitted to probate and that Letters Testamentary thereon be granted to Jonathan Hudson Executor In the said will named he first taking the oath or affirmation required of him by law
