Transcript

This Indenture made this 25th day of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between Hugh McRacken of the State of Kentucky, Calloway County, of the one part, and Absolom Reeves of the other, Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge I have bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and convey to Absolom Reeves three hundred and twenty acres of land lying and being in the Count aforesaid, and specified in grants to me, numbered 1143 and 1444, being the South East and N W quarters of section 31 Township 6 North range 4 East together with all the right and title as conveyed in the above named grants, from myself and my heirs and I do warrant and defend the title of said land against myself and my heirs and against all and every other person or persons claim or claims whatsoever unto the said Absolom Reeves his heirs and assigns forever. – In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the date first above written.

Calloway County Set  } I William Curd clerk of the Calloway County Court do certify that this deed from Hugh McRacken to Absolim Reeves was on the 22nd day of July 1833 produced to me in my office by the said grantor and acknowledged by him to be his act and deed hand and seal for the purpose therein contained.
In testimony whereof the said deed together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office – Given under my hand this 4th day of October 1833
