Absalom's sisters Elizabeth and Rebecca gave him power of attorney to sell their portions of the land inherited from William Reaves. It appears Reuben had charge of the rest. On 8 Jan 1836, Absalom Reeves sold to Dudley Crutchfield land in Bedford Co., on waters of Falling Creek, "it being three seventh of a one hundred and six acres left by will of William Reaves, deceased, to his heirs."
Absalom left a will, but it only mentions his wife Elizabeth.
