Emily had to have been a daughter of Absalom Reeves. Her children appear in Absalom's household in 1860. She is listed on Findagrave as "Emily C. Reeves Norman" in the Reeves Cemetery in Bedford County (5 Apr 1827 - 10 Jan 1895), but with no headstone photo. She is living with "Reeves", age 76, apparently her mother.

Her probate record contains a kind of will in which she mentions two daughters, Mrs. F J Winsetts and Mrs. E R Dryden. Also mentions a deceased daughter Rena Wilson.
