In the name of God Amen. I Mark Reavis of the County of Boone and State of Missouri being weak in body, but of sound mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say,First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lucy Reavis the South half of the S. W. quarter of section thirty five of R. fourteen W. and S. forty nine N. containing eighty acres; also the west half of the South East quarter of section thirty five in S. forty nine R. fourteen containing eighty acres. I also will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lucy Reavis a negro girl slave named Nancy aged fifteen years, also two head of horses, five head of cattle, eight head of sheep, with all the farming utensils household and kitchen furniture, and lastly as to all the rest residue and remainder of all my real and personal estate, goods and chattles of what kind and nature soever, I give and bequeath the same to my beloved wife Lucy Reavis during her natural life, that is to say after each and every just demand is settled. I herein appoint my wife Lucy Reavis to make settlement of all my concerns, and after her decease all of the aforesaid property goods and chattles to be equally divided between all of my children namely Jonas B. Reavis, Anderson Reavis, Edwin Reavis, James Reavis, Overton Reavis, Daniel Reavis, Doctor Reavis, Martha Berry, Mary Ward, and John N. Reavis, taking into consideration what each one has received heretofore. It is also my wish and will to have all my business settled without taking letters of administration or applying to court.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty eighth day of July in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty five.

The foregoing last will and testament of Mark Reavis deceased was produced in court before the justices thereof for Probate and thereupon came James Dickson and William R. Ward subscribing witnesses to said will, into open court & being first duly sworn testified that the said Mark Revis signed and published the same as his last will and testament, that he was of sound and disposing mind at the time, and that they subscribed their names as witnesses to said will in the presence of said testator, at his request and in the presence of each other, whereupon it is considered that said will is proved, which is approved and allowed as the last will and testament of the said Mark Reavis deceased and ordered to be recorded. Certificate of Probate granted in due form. In testimony whereof I Warren Woodson clerk of the County Court of said County have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court this 6th day of November AD 1835
