The State of South Carolina }
Pickens District }

Know all men by these presents that I William Stancell of the State and District above mentioned for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to me in hand pade have this day granted bargained and sold unto Asell Reeves of the same State and District above mentioned a certain tract of land containing two hundred acres more or less lying and being in the State and District aforesd and on the waters of yeartetoe branch of Ceowee Rover it being a part of a tract to Frederick Koves? to him in 1789, beginning on a white walnut running Eastwardly down the branch a conditionall line till it strikes the Creek, thence up sd Creek to the first branch on the opsit side thence up sd branch to the fork thence strate line to the originall hickory corner thence south with the originall line to the beginning corner with all and singular the rite, member and hereditaments apperenances whereas I bind myself my heirs and executors to make good the said titles to the said Asell Reeves his heirs and assigns forever waranting and forever defending the same fro myself my heirs and executors or any other person lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. Whereunto I set my hand and seal this 2nd day of March 1836 and in the presents of

Pickens District } Before me Elijah Hinke a subscribing Justice of said District personally appears Jesse Stansell and made oath in due form of law and said that he saw William Stansell sign seal and deliver the within deed to Ashel Reeves as his act and deed and that Wm Sutherland was a subscribing witness with him sworn to and subscribed this 27th January 1837
