DAVID CAMPBELL, ESQUIRE, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia TO ALL TO WHOM these Presents shall come, GREETING: KNOW YE, That in conformity with a Survey, made on the 13th day of October 1836, by virtue of Land Office ----- treasury warrant No. 2626, there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto John Reeves A certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing two hundred acres, situate in Grayson County on the North side of New river bounded as follows ~ Beginning at two locust Saplings on the bank of New river a corner of said Reeves' old lines, and running N 60° E 60 poles to an ash sapling a corner of Osborn Reeves' patent land thence N43 W, 114 poles to a white oak & red oak on a ridge N 75° W 68 poles crossing a small branch to a chesnut on a ridge S 55 W 174 poles to two black (sic?) gum Saplings near the head of a spring S 60 W 60 poles to a white oak S 80° E 200 poles, to a stake on the bank of the river thence down New River N 30° E 40 poles to a Stake N 70° E 80 poles to the beginning, with its Appurtenances.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said John Reeves and his heirs forever.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said DAVID CAMPBELL, ESQUIRE, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hath hereunto set his Hand, and caused the Lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed, at Richmond on the 30th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty 7 and of the Commonwealth the 62d.
