Know all men by these presents that I Jessee Reeves of said County & state do constitute & appoint George W. Reeves my brother late of the state of Virginia & Grayson County My true & Lawful Attorney for my name to do & transact my business for me in the state of Georgia Particularly in the sale of all my lands lying in Sd. State (towit) Four forty acre lots near Peden town also to make conveyance for the same or otherwise or receive pay & grant executions to do & transact all my business in full & complete a manner as if I was personally present & if necessary to appoint others attornes (sic) for me & in my name In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal This the 25th of February 1839.
