Curtis F. Reeves a Justice of the peace of this county, this day Sent in his resignation which is ordered to be filed.
A Justice of the peace being needed in this county to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Curtis F. Reeves, it is ordered that John Ross & Owen S. Jackson be and are hereby recommended to his Excellency Charles A. Wickliffe, Lieutenant & acting Governor of this Commonwealth as fit and proper persons to fill said office of Justice of the peace, a majority of all the Justices in this County being present and concurring herein.
Ordered that William H. Reeves be appointed Constable of this County in the place of Owen S. Jackson, resigned, whereupon he took the oaths required by law, and together with John Bayless his Security entered into & acknowledged bond in the penalty and with the Condition required by law.
