Know all men by these presents that we John Reeves Senr the father of George Reeves decd late of Madison County in the State of Tennessee, Archibald Andrews husband of Polly the daughter of said John Reeves Senr & sister of said George Reeves decd Thomas Kirk husband of Tabitha daughter of said John Reeves Senr & sister of said George Reeves decd Priscilla Reeves daughter of John Reeves Senr & Sister of said George Reeves decd Martha Reeves daughter of said John Reeves Senr & sister of said George Reeves decd and Delilah Reeves daughter of said John Reeves Senr & sister of said George Reeves decd all of full age and Inhabitants of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina for and in consideration of divers good causes & considerations hereunto moving do constitute & appoint Chesley Moores who married Synia Reeves daughter of said John Reeves Senr & sister of the aforesaid George Reeves decd and John Andrews son of the aforesaid Archibald Andrews of the said County of Orange & State of North Carolina our true & lawful attorneys in our names & for our use to ask demand sue for & recover of & from Christopher Barber and John L. Robbins administrators of the Goods & chattels rights & credits of George Reeves late of the County of Madison & State of Tennessee decd such part & portion of the Estate of said George Reeves decd as may be due & owing to us as his heirs at law, and upon the receipt of our proper proportions of said estate we do hereby authorise our said attornies to grant proper discharges there for us fully as we could do were we personally present hereby gratifying & confirming whatsoever our said attornies may legally do in the premises. In witness whereof we do hereto set our hands & seals this sixth day of September AD1842
