Narrative
A power of attorney from 1842 recorded in Madison County, Tennessee shows that John of Orange County, North Carolina had a son George who lived in Madison County, Tennessee. The deed names the other children of John. The inventory of George Reeves recorded in Madison County is dated 30 Aug 1840.Research Notes
There was a George Reeves who lived in Madison County and had previously been in Davidson County. He is mentioned in the will of his father-in-law Balaam Newsom. He appears on a deed with some Newsom men in 1845 and thus is apparently not the same as this George, who died by late 1840.Sources
