This Indenture made this the seventh October in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & forty four Between Robert B. McCord of the one part & Henry N. Reeves of the other part both of the County & state aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said R. B. McCord for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said H. N. Reeves at and before the sealing & delivery of the presents the receipt whereof is herby acknowledged doth bargain grant & sell unto the said Reeves his heirs assigns One hundred & twenty five acres of land situate & being in the fifth Dist of originally Gwinnett County but now Walton & State aforesaid it being the north west half of lot number three hundred & fifty two bounded on the East by line run by James Harbuck in a survey setting off the balance of said lot sold to Seaborn C. Burson on the sixteenth day of Fey eighteen hundred & forty two To have & to hold said tract or parcel of land, with all the rights, members and appurinances thereunto belonging to him the said H. N. Reeves his heirs, assigns & to their own proper use benefit & behoof in fee simple for himself the said R. B. McCord his heirs & assigns will warrant & forever defend the right & title to said premises unto the said Reeves his heirs & assigns & against the claim of all other persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day & date above written
