Transcript

The last Will and Testament of Enoch Reeves of the town of Minisink county of Orange and state of New York. I Enoch Reeves considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say.
First I give and bequeath unto my son William A. Reeves the sum of two hundred dollars.
Second I give and bequeath unto my son Daniel L. Reeves the sum of Two Hundred dollars. Third I give and bequeath unto my son George B. Reeves my best one horse waggon horse and harness.
Fourth I give and bequeath unto my six daughters Adeline Reeves, Mary Reeves, Abigail Reeves, Harriet H. Reeves, Bethiah W. Reeves, and Phebe J. Reeves all my household goods to be equally divided between the same, provided that the above mentioned Bethiah W. Reeves surrender to my executors a note of one hundred and forty dollars which she holds against me, if not, the said Bethiah W. Reeves is to have no part of my household goods.
Fifth I give and devise to my son George B Reeves and to my six daughters namely Adeline Reeves, Mary Reeves, Abigail Reeves, Harriet N. Reeves, Bethiah W. Reeves and Phebe J. Reeves equally all my farm situate lying and being in the town of Minisink and which I now occupy consisting of about one hundred and forty acres to be equally divided between them their heirs and assigns forever. Sixth I give and bequeath unto the above mentioned George B. Reeves Adeline Reeves, Mary Reeves, Abigail Reeves, Harriet N. Reeves, Bethiah W. Reeves and Phebe J. Reeves all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate goods and chattles of what kind and nature soever to be equally divided between them.
I hereby appoint Abigail Reeves executrix and William S. Webb and Daniel Reeve executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by Enoch Reeves the Testator in the presence of each of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last Will and Testament and we at his request signed our names hereto as attesting witnesses.

Whereupon I the Surrogate aforesaid upon the proof aforesaid being satisfied of the genuineness of and validity of the said Will do thereupon order that the same be admitted to probate and that Letters Testamentary thereon be granted to Abigail Reeves executrix and Daiel Reeves and William S Webb Executors in the said will named they first taking the oath or affirmation required of them by law.
