Transcript

This Indenture made & entered into between Alexander S Reaves of the one part and Tarlton J Reaves of the other part Witnesseth that said Archibald S has this day for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, bargained and sold unto said Tarlton J five eighths of the tract of land on which Archibald Reaves lived at the time of his death, situate lying & being in the County of Bedford and State of Tennessee, and bounded by the widow Burrow on the East, Elijah Lacy on the North Samuel Dock & said Lacys lands on the west, and on the south by Lewis Wilhoite & the widow Burrow containing about one hundred and thirty acres, said five eighths of said tract of land are conveyed subject to the life estate of Elizabeth Reaves in the entire tract - To have and to hold the same to him the said Tarlton J. his heirs and assigns forever. I warrant the title to said five eighths to said Tarlton J his heirs and assigns against all persons claiming the same by through or under me but against the claim of no other persons whatever, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 20th day of November 1845
