Transcript

Suffolk County SS: Be it known that at a Surrogate's Court held at the Surrogate's office in Riverhead in said County on the 29th day of June 1857 Present George Miller Surrogate the last will and testament of Daniel Reeve late of the town of Shelter Island in said County deceased was duly proved before the Surrogate as a valid will of real and personal estate which said will and proof are as follows:

In the name of God Amen I Daniel Reeve of the town of Shelter Island, County of Suffolk and State of New York being of infirm state of body, but of sound disposing mind, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following (viz)
I give and bequeath to my dear wife Sally after paying all my just debts, all my estate, real and personal, goods and chattels, of whatever and wherever, for her own proper use and behoof forever. And I do hereby appoint and constitute her sole executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills and testaments at any time heretofore made by me.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty five.

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Testator Daniel Reeve as for his last will and testament, in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the Testator.
