Transcript

I Petillo C Patton have this day bargained and sold and do herebye transfer and convey to Joshua Reeves and his heirs forever for the consideration of forty dollars to me paid a tract of land in the state of Tennessee Maury county and district number 5 containing by estimation twenty acres more or less and bounded as follows beginning at a corner white oak then by reeves line north 99 poles to a corner white oak then by pattons line south 99 poles to a corner ash on reeves and Vaughns by Vaughns line west 32 3/8 poles to a corner White oak then by Pattons line south 99 poles to a corner stake then east 32 3/8 poles to the place of beginning To have and to hold the same to the said Joshua Reeves his heirs and assigns forever I do covenant with the said Joshua reeves that I am lawfully seized of the said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered, I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to said land and everypart thereof to the said Joshua Reeves his heirs and assigns against the lawfull claims of all persons whatever This day of May Executed and delivered in our presenceP C Patton
