I Edward A. Reeves of the township of Lower Alloways Creek and county of Salem and on this first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty seven being of sound mind and understanding through divine power do make this my last will and testament in manner following namely first I do order all of my just debts and funeral expences to be paid by my executor as hereinafter described I do bequeath to my brother Josiah Reeves all of my wearing apparel my watch minature Breast Pin and Bible and gunning sciff I do leave my brother Josiah Reeves executor to this my last will and testament and I order that my friend William Morrison of Hancocks bride? that he shall assize my brother Josiah Reeves is settling up my estate if occasion may require him to do so I order my executor to sell all of my property both real and personal makiing a sufficient title or titles to the purchase or purchasers thereof and after all of my just debts and funeral expences shall be paid then the amount of surplus money arising from my estate whatever amount it may be I do bequeath all of that amount of money to my Brother Josiah Reeves but if my Brother Josiah Reeves shall decease before my estate shall be settled then and in such case I order that all of the surplus money shall descend to Jeremiah Reeves and Elizabeth Jane Reeves to be equally divided to have the interest only untill they shall arrive at the age of lawful heirship. George Grier one of the witnesses of the within will being duly sworn did depose and say that he saw Edward A Reeves the testator therein named sign and seal the same and heard him publish pronounce and declare the within instrument to be his last will and testament and that at the doing thereof the said testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory as far as he knows and as he verily believes and that Clayton Denn and Samuel N Thompson the other two subscribing evidences were present at the same time and signed their names as witnesses to the said will together with this deponent and in the presence of the testator
