Transcript

In the name of God Amen: I Thomas Reeves of the town of Southampton in the County of Suffolk and State of New York, yeoman being mindful of my mortality Do this 15th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following to wit
First I give bequeath and devise unto my Daughter Mary all my estate both real and personal property to her use during the time she remains single or unmarried - and in case she should be married - then I give and bequeath unto her my said daughter Mary the sum of one hundred Dollars - after payment of my Debts and funeral expenses.
Secondly - All the rest residue and remainder of my property both Real and personal not hereinbefore given and disposed of I do give and bequeath unto my surviving grandchildren.
Thirdly - I do hereby constitute and appoint my son in law Elias W. Howell and my friend Jonathan Fithian executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year first above written.
