Transcript

I Walter Reeve of the Town of Southold in the County of Suffolk and the State of New York being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do hereby make and declare this my last will and Testament as follows to wit
First I will and direct that all my just and legal debts and funeral charges be paid by my executors hereinafter named including tow tomb stones to be erected at my grace.
Second I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Maria Peney the sum of fourteen dollars. also one coverlid with my name woven in which her grand mother requested she might have after her decease.
Third I give and bequeath unto my grandson William Reeve son of my son Joshua Reeve the sum of ten Dollars.
Fourth I give and bequeath unto my grandson David Harvey Corwin son of my daughter Nancy Corwin the sum of Twenty five dollars.
Fifth I give and bequeath unto my sister Bethia Peney the sum of eight dollars
Sixth I give and bequeath unto my niece Louisa A Peney daughter of my sister Bethia Penney the sum of two hundred Dollars
Seventh I give and devise all my real and personal estate of what nature or kind soever to Henry Landon and Oliver Corey the executors of this my last will and Testament hereinafter nominated and appointed in trust for the payment of my just debts and the legacies above specified with power to sell and dispose of the same at public or private sale at such time or times and upon such terms and in such manner as to them shall seem meet
Eighth All the rest residue and remainder of my estate not herein before specially disposed of after payment of my debts, legacies and funeral charges or expenses, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Nancy Corwin and my Daughter Elizabeth Tuthill to be equally divided between them share and share alike.
Ninth I do hereby nominate and appoint my friends Henry Landon and Oliver Cory executors of this my last will and Testament, and hereby revoke all and every former will by me made.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty.
