- The Condition column for uncle Thomas Reeves is not distinct, but on balance is most probably "Unm" unmarried.
- It is suspected grandson Henry Reeves is the child of John's son Henry and his wife Mary. This Henry junior appears with this parents a decade later on the 1861 census. (RG9, Piece 0606, Folio 96 reverse, Page 10.) At that time, they are neighbours of John's widow Silvester.
- The surname of lodger William is not distinctly written, although Woolven seem the most probable interpretation. FamilySearch has a baptism for a William Woolven in Horsham in Feb 1835 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NBJC-1N1, perhaps fitting this individual. There is currently no known family connection.
