Transcript

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Reeves of Fryerning in the County of Essex Gardener made this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine (Firstly) - I nominate and appoint Mary Ann Reeves my wife to be executrix of this my will (Secondly) I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be fully paid and satisfied with all convenient speed after my decease (Thirdly) I give and bequeath unto Mary Ann my said wife all my Furniture Plate Linen China Books Pictures Watches and ornaments in and about my residence at the time of my decease (Fourthly) I give and bequeath unto my said wife Mary Ann all the cash and money which may be in and about my residence at the time of my decease and also all monies I may have standing in my name in the Bank of England or in any savings Bank or elsewhere at the time of my decease and likewise all debts which may be due to me (Fiftly) I give and bequeath unto my said wife Mary Ann absolutely and for her own use all my estate and effects of whatever nature and kind which I may be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my decease (Sixly) And lastly evoking all former wills I declare this to be my last Will and Testament - In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament put my mark it having been first duly read and explained to me the day and year first above written

Signed with the mark of the said Thomas Reeves the said testator it having been first duly read and explained to him by us and published and declared as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us being present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribe our names as witnesses

Mary Ann Reeves the widow & sole executrix was duly sworn to the truth of this will and to the due performance thereof and that to the best of her knowledge and belief the whole of the Goods chattels and credits of the deceased are under the value of Fifty Pouds & that the testator died on the 8th July 1851

Proved on the 6th day of August 1851 before the Revd James Hutchinson clerk Surrog &c by the oath of Mary Ann Reeves the widow & sole extrix to whom admon &c was granted she being first sworn duly to administer
