Transcript

In the name of God, Amen. I James H Reeve, of the Town of Wawayanda, in the County of Orange, and State of New York, of the age of sixty four years and being of sound mind and memory, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say.
First I give bequeath and devise all my Real and personal estate of what nature or kind soever, to the executors of this my last Will and Testament hereinafter nominated and appointed in trust for the payment of my just debts and legacies with power to sell and dispose of the same as hereinafter specificed.
Second I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Reeve, the yearly income of all my Real Estate, with the use and controll of all the household furniture during her natural life.
Third I hereby order and direct that all of my movable or personal property of whatever kind (except household furniture) be immediately disposed of at public auction and applied to the payment of my just debts, and within one year after the decease of my wife Elizabeth Reeve, I order and direct that all my Real estate be sold at publick or private sale as to them shall seem meet and divided as hereinafter provided, viz: To my daughter Elizabeth Canfield, the sum of four hundred dollars, To my son James M. Reeve, the sum of four hundred dollars; to my Son Chauncey P. Reeve, the sum of six hundred dollars; To my son John H Reeve the sum of six hundred dollars: To my daughter Fanny E. Canfield the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars; and to my son Joseph B Reeve, the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars
Fourth I give and bequeath all the rest, residue, and remainder of my personal and Real Estate unto all my children mentioned above to be divided equally between them share and share alike
And Lastly I hereby nominate and appoint & my sons James M Reeve and John H Reeve, executors of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this eighth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four.

The above instrument consisting of one half sheet, was at the date thereof, signed, sealed, published and declared by the said James H. Reeve, as and for his last Will and Testament, in presence of us, who, at his request and his presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
