John Gill } This Indenture made this the 15th day of February in theto } year of our Lord 1856 by and between John Gill of the first
William J. Gill } part and William J. Gill of the Second part all of the County
of Wake and State of North Carolina Witnessseth that the Said John Gill for and in consideration of the natural Love and affection which he hath for his Son the Said William J. Gill has Gave Granted and by these presents doth Give Grant and deliver unto the Said William J. Gill his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel of Land Lying and being in the county and State aforesaid on the West Side of the Road Leading to parkers bridge it being a part of the Tract of Land Given to the Said John Gill by his father Jesse Gill vis Beginning at a hickory formerly (?) a pine the NW corner of the Said tract of Land thence N 54 ¼ E 50 ¾ poles to a Stake & pointers thence S 36 E 83 poles to a Rock on the Said Road thence SW along the Road 112 poles to where a big path comes (?) Said Road thence NW course with the path 113 poles to a corner pine Standing on the South side of the path thence N ½ E 40 ¾ poles from the pine to the beginning containing according to measurement fifty acres be the same more or less - With all and Every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and I do hereby covenant to and with the said William J. Gill to Warrant and forever defend the Right and title of the Said Land to him the said William J. Gill his heirs and assigns in Witness Thereof I hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
